Goulburn City boasts 70 parks, the Goulburn Recreation and Showground area, three bushland reserves which include West Goulburn, Rocky Hill Reserve and the Governors Hill/Mount Gray Reserve, all of which combine to provide residents with a great variety of outdoor activities to enjoy.

Goulburn's beautiful centrepiece is Belmore Park, a botanic garden, devotedly maintained to the delight of visitors and locals alike, offering a wealth of history and a shady spot for a picnic. The magnificent rose gardens in Victoria Park showcase the beauty of the City of Goulburn Rose and are a highlight of the annual Rose Festival in March. Goulburn Mulwaree Council's Parks and Recreation Department also maintains eight sporting fields.
