On-Site Sewer Management Systems (OSSM)

On-site Sewage Management System refers to all kinds of effluent management systems, including traditional septic tank and trench systems, pump-outs, composting toilets and Aerated Wastewater Treatment Systems (AWTS).
Basically if you live or rent a home that is not connected to the sewer you have some sort of On-Site Sewage Management System in your back yard.
