Goulburn Mulwaree Council Mayor Carol James and former Deputy Mayor Ken Sullivan give a preview of how the Big Merino might look during September for Prostate Cancer Awareness month.

Goulburn’s most iconic building will be feeling blue in September – and it’s all for a very good cause.

The Big Merino will be lit up blue at a special ceremony on Thursday 10 September to promote Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

At a special ceremony, hosted by the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, Goulburn Mulwaree Council and Farmoz, the Big Merino will be bathed in blue light – the first time this Australian icon has ever changed colour to highlight an important cause. Guests will be treated to a barbecue from 5pm, with the lighting of the Big Merino at 6.30pm.
